Cardif is a BNP Paribas Assurance's life insurance company, the insurance arm of BNP Paribas. It develops and markets its products and services via multiple partners in 42 countries under two brands :

BNP Paribas for products ditributed by BNP Paribas retail banking branches in France and BNP Paribas Private Bank in France, and Cardif for products distributed via other networks in France and worldwide.

Cardif works with 35 of the world's top banks, numerous financial institutions amoung which credit companies, credit arms of car makers and major retail groups.

In 2008, Standard & Poor’s Ratings Services assigned its "AA+" long-term counterparty credit and insurer financial strength ratings to Cardif Assurance Vie and Cardif Assurances Risques Divers. This rating is one of the best that an insurance company can achieve in Europe.

Cardif sells life insurance policies to individuals in 11 countries. In France, it also markets group pension solutions, as well as products that allow companies to cover end-of-career and early retirement benefits.

In protection

Cardif proposes a wide range of products : creditor, insurance, bill protection, credit card protection, extended warranty, gap insurance and individual protection. In France, Cardif also markets standard and personalized group policies for large companies and SMEs.
